You choose the AI provider.
Your Mac sends prompts directly to the AI provider you connect, with dashsquad nowhere in between. Your provider's privacy policy controls how it uses and keeps your prompts, so give it a read first.
Your iPhone reaches your Mac over an encrypted link.
Your iPhone always connects to your Mac through the dashsquad relay. The connection is encrypted in transit, and the relay only passes it along. It does not store your conversations.

Before you download
Which Macs can I use?
For now, only Mac computers with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Intel Macs, Windows and Linux are not supported.
What does it cost?
dashsquad is free. You pay your AI provider for what your teammates use, within its usage limits.
Can I use my Claude or ChatGPT plan?
Yes. Sign in with your Claude or ChatGPT plan, or add an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Moonshot Kimi or OpenRouter. Your provider’s terms and limits still apply.
Do I need an account?
Yes, and anyone can download dashsquad and sign up. You sign in with email, Google or Apple during setup. Your account connects your devices; your work stays on your Mac.
Do I need an iPhone?
No. Everything works on your Mac. Add the iPhone app when you want your squad with you on the go.
Does my Mac need to stay on?
Your squad runs on your Mac, so keep it awake and online if you want to reach it from your iPhone or let a teammate keep working.
